a mini-excursion in the Scottish capital!

Edinburgh with its old town and character is an entirely different beast from the city of my West Coast origins Glasgow. Living on the outskirts of Glasgow you would be forgiven for me even considering visiting Edinburgh as an excursion with it sitting around somewhere around 30 and change miles away as the crow flies. Me and my partner went for a wee stay there earlier in the year. We had a great time wandering around the city center and highlights included us exploring the old town with its lanes and meandering streets plus a trip up Calton Hill to take in the view.

We also filmed quite possibly the cheesiest video ever made as well so this is pretty much an excuse to share a few pictures of our trip plus aforementioned spectacularly cheesey vid!
